A Quest Accomplished ~ The Youngest Templar

Friday, May 29, 2009, 08:25 AM CST [General]

When I was (finally!) able to get a copy of this book to review for the Chivalry for Children program, I found it to be well worth the wait. The first in a series, the "Youngest Templar" chronicles the adventures of a 14-year-old orphan named Tristan and his adventures among the legendary Knights Templar.

Although the book falls in the "young adult/fantasy" book genre, there is much to commend it for readers of all ages. From the prologue to the last chapter, the adventures of the story's young protagonist will enthall boys and girls alike.

For educators, this book is a treasure; well written, exciting, and fun.  For those of you who who have young readers in your household (or just want to re-experience the joys of summer reading as a kid again), I recommend this book highly.

I can't wait for the next one to come out...

It was good to see both of you at faire, if only from a distance. The booth kept us busy, as did the destruction of one of our tents Saturday night. Looking forward to seeing both of you again sometime here around town.
